Yeah if I recall, it pulls the legs in a bit so they don't splay as much, but the leg pins still click into the chair so it doesn't compromise stability. The only thing is the footrest height isn't adjustable, so it won't 'grow' with your baby like other chairs with footrests. It's a good cheap solution for starting out though.
